Who we are

2nd Menu is operated by Troiva LLC. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

Your account identifier (email address, or the private relay identifier if you sign in with Apple). The answers you give during setup: goal, height, weight, activity, diet style, strictness, likes and dislikes. The spots you save, the orders you log, and the inaccuracy reports you send. Menu photos you capture or choose in the app. The restaurant names and links you search for. An approximate area, accurate to roughly a city, worked out on your device from your time zone and region settings, so that a search for a restaurant name finds the one near you. The app does not ask for or use your GPS location. Standard usage data used to keep the app working and to measure which features people use.

Menu photos

A menu photo is sent to our analysis service only when you take one in the app or pick one yourself from your library. The app never browses your library on its own: it opens the system picker and receives only the image you select. Photos are used to read the menu text and are never written to our storage.

How we use it

To compute your targets, score dishes against them, build your suggested orders, keep your saved spots in sync across your devices, answer your support messages, and fix what breaks. We do not use your data to train models, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

Service providers who run parts of the app on our behalf: Google Firebase for authentication, database, and analytics; Google Gemini for reading menu text and answering your questions; Google Maps for finding the restaurant you searched for, which receives your search text and approximate area; RevenueCat for subscription status; Apple for payments; and our attribution provider for measuring which ads bring people to the app. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Your profile, spots, and logged orders are kept while your account exists. Menu photos are never written to our storage: they are read during the analysis and discarded. Searches are kept in a shared cache so a repeated lookup costs nothing. Delete your account, from Settings inside the app, and your account and its data are erased immediately, except where we are required to retain records.

Your choices

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, from inside the app: Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. You can also ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it. Email us and we will confirm within 30 days.

Children

2nd Menu is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

This website

2ndmenu.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no third-party requests. What you read here stays between you and your browser.
